We have different criteria for membership in QAD, and these will change as we integrate training from across the spectrum of our doulas’ practices. For now, these apply more to the perinatal field.
To have graduated as a doula from a recognized school (you must provide us with your diploma)
For birth doulas. Two days of theory: physiognomy of breastfeeding, special cases, restrictions, tools, history of breastfeeding and non-breastfeeding, resources, context of the birthplace, etc. Half a day to a day on support relationships in the context of starting breastfeeding. The remaining half day can be an assignment, exam or other.
** Eight hours per year. All QAD workshops count, as well as the annual general meeting.

Supporting members are individuals who wish to encourage the association, and the profession, and to help building our credibility with the government, health professionals and the public.
Our fiscal year is from April 1 to March 31. Depending on your month of subscription, here are the rates for the active and student members. Your membership will be valid from the month of registration until March 31 of the following year.
